Cruise Lines That Have Removed COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements and  Pre-Cruise Testing

​Azamara Cruises - Azamara no longer requires pre-cruise COVID testing, except for travelers on sailings departing from ports of call, which is still required in accordance with country regulations. At this time, Azamara will still require proof of vaccination before embarkation.
 
Carnival Cruise Line - For All Carnival Cruise Line sailings on or after September 6, 2022:
Carnival Cruise Line will allow all guests to sail, regardless of vaccination status, on any sailing less than 16 nights.
 
Pre-cruise testing is no longer required for vaccinated guests, except for cruises to Canada, Bermuda, Greece, and Australia (per local guidelines). Unvaccinated guests or those who do not provide proof of vaccination at boarding must present the results of a negative PCR or antigen test which was taken within three days of embarkation.
 
Celebrity Cruises - Beginning September 5th, 2022, all travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can now cruise on the following itineraries as long as they meet any testing requirements to board:
- All sailings departing from the UK and Europe (with the exception of Iceland)
- All sailings departing from Los Angeles
 
Holland America Line - For all sailings on or after September 6, 2022, Holland America Line will welcome back all passengers, regardless of vaccination status on select cruises 15 nights or less. Unvaccinated guests must provide results of a medically supervised or home self-test taken within three days of embarkation. The new protocols do not apply to itineraries for countries or regions where local regulations may vary, including Canada & Alaska, Australia and Greece.
 
Margaritaville at Sea – Testing is not required for vaccinated guests. Guest must show proof of vaccination (original card or any copy, paper or electronic)
Testing is required for unvaccinated guests. Guests must provide negative test results administered by a verified testing agency, taken no more than 1-day prior to sailing date. Guests must bring completed results with them to the port.
 
MSC Cruises - MSC Cruises requires all guests 12 years and older to be fully vaccinated to sail on any cruise from a U.S. port. The following policies for cruises embarking from U.S. ports are currently in effect: 

• Unvaccinated guests two years and older must show proof of a lab-administered negative COVID-19 viral test (NAAT or antigen) taken within three days of embarkation for all cruises from U.S. ports. MSC recommends unvaccinated guests to test within one day of departure.
• Fully vaccinated guests sailing six nights or longer from U.S. ports must show proof of a lab-administered negative COVID-19 viral test (NAAT or antigen) taken within three days of embarkation. MSC Cruises recommends vaccinated guests to test within one day of embarkation. Fully vaccinated guests sailing five nights or less from U.S. ports will no longer be required. The cruise line recommends these guests continue to test 3 days before sailing.

 
Norwegian Cruise Line - Beginning with sailings on September 3, 2022, forward, Norwegian will institute the following policy for testing: 

• Vaccinated guests ages 12+ will not be required to do pre-cruise testing. 
• Non-vaccinated guests ages 12+ need to show a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 3 days before sailing. 
• Some specific country requirements will apply.

  
Oceania Cruises - Effective September 3, 2022, for Voyages Embarking from the United States:
• Fully Vaccinated travelers aged 12 and older will not need to test to embark.
• Un-vaccinated travelers will need to present a negative, medically administered covid-19 test. Antigen and PCR test results may not be more than 72 hours old at the time of boarding.
• Travelers aged 11 and under are not subject to vaccination requirements or testing protocols.
• Boosters are not required to qualify as Fully Vaccinated.
 
Princess Cruises - For all cruises from September 6, 2022, onward:
Princess Cruises will remove the vaccine requirement for most voyages of less than 16 days. These guidelines apply to itineraries from all departure ports, except where government regulations and protocols may vary such as Canada, Greece and Australia.
 
Regent Seven Seas Cruises - Effective September 3, 2022, Regent Seven Seas will welcome guests of all ages back regardless of vaccination status. 
At this date, Regent will adopt the following pre-cruise testing requirements, subject to local regulations:

• Vaccinated travelers will not need to test before embarkation. 
• Unvaccinated travelers may embark with a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test taken within three days prior to embarkation.
• Testing and vaccination requirements will differ for guests traveling on voyages departing from destinations with specific local health regulations, including the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, and Greece. 

 
Royal Caribbean - Starting with September 5th departures, all travelers regardless of vaccination status can cruise on the following itineraries, as long as they meet any testing requirements to board.
Cruises from Los Angeles, California; Cruises from Galveston, Texas; Cruises from New Orleans, Louisiana; Cruises from a European homeport.
 
Windstar Cruises - Starting September 6, 2022, Windstar will no longer require a pre-cruise COVID-19 test for embarking guests (unless required by a country on the itinerary).  
 
Virgin Voyages - Virgin Voyages currently requires the majority (90%) of guests to be vaccinated but will open up voyages for a limited number (10%) of unvaccinated guests. Unvaccinated guests must bring a negative COVID-19 test taken within 24 hours or at the terminal for a fee of $30 on their embarkation date.
